Manulife is here for you

March 19, 2020

To our valued customers across Canada:

We’re living through an unprecedented situation that’s had extraordinary impacts on our day-to-day lives.

Protecting the health and well-being of our employees, customers and communities – and ensuring you’re supported and informed – are our top priorities. Here’s how we’re doing that.

We’re here to support you

Manulife has been there for Canadians and their families for more than 130 years. This experience has helped us support our customers through challenging times before, and that’s what we’re here to do for you now.

We have teams working tirelessly to serve you and answer your questions, however you choose to contact us. Like many other companies, our Contact Centres are very busy, and right now wait times can be long.

As we do our part to flatten the curve and socially distance ourselves, trust that our self-serve channels are available to you at any time on or through our mobile apps.

We’re here to help protect you

At the heart of our business are products and services that help safeguard what matters to you most.

Across our insurance, investments and banking businesses, we have solutions that can help. We’re also making adjustments to some of our services, including:

  • Health benefits – The period for Out-of-province/Out-of-Canada health benefits is being extended on both our Group and Individual Insurance plans. You can read more on
  • Manulife Bank – is offering to defer mortgage payments for up to six months, for those experiencing financial hardship. Find out more on

We’ll keep you informed

This situation is changing rapidly.

We’ll keep you informed with regular updates on, our Manulife social channels – LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook – as well as ongoing customer and partner communications specific to your coverage or relationship with Manulife.

We’re supporting our communities

Our mission is to make decisions easier and lives better. These words ring true to me now, more than ever.

This week, we donated $1 million to ensure our Canadian communities in need have safe access to food, helping the most vulnerable people whose health and well-being are most immediately impacted.

We are all in this together, and Manulife will be here for you through the challenges we’re facing today, and in the weeks to come.

Stay well.
