Frequently asked questions

The Wellness Report (TWR) is a comprehensive workplace wellness assessment tool that collects information from employees through an online survey. It measures physical, psychological, financial, and organizational health and wellness, as well as the connection between individual and organizational health.

Once the survey is complete, employees will receive a Personal Health Report measuring their current wellness, including tips to improve. You will also receive a detailed Organizational Health Report offering a comprehensive overview of your organization’s health and wellness.

If you do the survey annually, you'll be able to measure your progress and see how the changes you've implemented could be influencing your employees and organization's health and wellness.

  1. Register your organization during the open enrolment period using a quick online form.
  2. Once registered, share your custom survey link with your employees. During the survey period you’ll receive regular updates showing employee participation rates.
  3. Visit the Health & Benefits Resource Centre to find ready-to-use promotional materials to drive employee participation. Remember to send regular reminders to encourage employee engagement!
  4. After completing the survey, employees will receive a Personal Health Report offering insights into 5 key dimensions of holistic health and well-being including physical, psychological, financial, and organizational health and wellness.
  5. Approximately 4-6 weeks after the survey closes, you’ll receive a comprehensive Organizational Health Report (with 25+ responses). This will provide insights into your organization’s health and wellness, and actionable suggestions for improving health and productivity.

Any Manulife Group Benefits or Canada Retirement client can participate. There are no restrictions on the number of employees, and it doesn’t matter how many products you have with Manulife.

Organizations will receive the Organizational Health Report 4-6 weeks after the survey closes if a minimum of 25 participants complete the survey. This helps preserve employee privacy and confidentiality.

Employees can participate as long as they are 18 years of age or older, and they don’t need to be members of a Manulife plan. Employees that have opted out of Manulife products or who are not eligible because of their employment status (part-time, contract) can also take the survey.

The Organizational Health Report gives you a comprehensive picture of your organization’s health based on survey responses. The report includes all appendices and references. It's easy to follow with clear, highlighted outcomes. Including:

  • an executive dashboard
  • visuals and graphics, highlighted results, and short educational content to help you understand and interpret results for each health area
  • a calculation of your organization's productivity loss
  • a breakdown of participant demographic information
  • tips, best practices, and evidence guidelines to support you in actioning next steps
  • definitions and references

Upon registration, you will receive a link to send to employees allowing you to launch the survey. You will also be informed of the survey end date for the cycle, which serves as the deadline for employees to complete the survey. Before distributing the link, we recommend exploring the resources on the Health & Benefits Resource Centre to ensure your promotional campaign is ready to go. Additionally, we suggest giving your employees at least 4 weeks to complete the survey, but this timeframe can be adjusted based on your organization's needs and calendar.

*If an employer would like to offer extra incentives for survey participation, additional fees may apply.
