*Because Amy's Light Workout earned her less points than the Standard Workout, she will be awarded Standard Workout points for the day (20 pts).

Note: When you log multiple workouts in the same day, Manulife Vitality will award points for the workout which qualifies for this highest point value.

Understand your health

Understanding your current health is key to knowing your health and where improvements can be made. Preventive healthcare also plays an important role in helping you spot potential problems before they get worse.

That’s why you can earn Vitality Points for the following:

  • Online Vitality Health ReviewTM = 500  points
  • Screening for BMI, Blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose = 125 points each
  • In healthy range for BMI, Blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose = 1,000 points each

Get active

Physical activity can help lower blood pressure, relieve stress and help you maintain a healthy weight. You don’t have to be an Olympic athlete to earn Vitality PointsTM for physical activity:

  • Standard workout (10,000 steps or 30 minutes’ exercise at 60% maximum heart rate) = 20 points
  • Participate in an athletic event (virtual or live) = 250 – 500 points
  • Advanced workout (15,000 steps or 45 minutes’ exercise at 60% maximum heart rate) = 30 points

Manage your mental well-being

Your state of mind has a big influence on your physical health. Stress, anxiety, depression and so on can lead to high blood pressure, poor eating habits and overuse of alcohol. Online mental wellness checks are designed to help you maintain your mental well-being — and help you earn points, too:

  • For Insurance customers, earn 50 points each when completing a psychological well-being check, stressor check, or resiliency check.
  • For Group Benefits customers, get 100 points each for completing stressor, psychological, and social assessments.

You can view your earned points on your Points Statement.

Note: If you have reached the maximum number of activity points you will begin to see 0 points on your statement.

It may take up to 48 hours after you complete your activities for Manulife Vitality to award your points and display them on the website.

Note: For Individual insurance members, biometric screening results can take up to 7 business days.

There is no maximum for total amount of points in the Program, however we have set a maximum of 6,000 points for the Verified Workout category and 1,500 points for the Athletic Events category, with a total of 7,500 for Physical Activity. We hope to help our members improve their overall health, not just one or two aspects of it. Limiting the number of points members can earn in the Physical Activity category encourages them to explore the other areas of the Program. If you have met the maximum in the Physical Activity category, do not worry, you will be able to earn points again once your Program Year renews.

Note: If you are participating in the Apple Watch/Active Rewards program, and you have reached your maximum points for verified workouts, you will still earn points towards your Apple Watch monthly target.

There is an unsubscribe option in each email from Manulife Vitality.

All biometric results will be sent to The Vitality Group for application to your Manulife Vitality account. Manulife does not have access to these biometric results and lifestyle information.

If you have a question about your Manulife Vitality account, you can contact the Customer Service Centre at Manulife. If your inquiry is about your biometrics, requires biometric information, you will be asked to provide consent for Manulife to access your the biometric results to. If you do not wish to authorize this access, the Manulife Customer Service Professional will engage an alternate servicing model with The Vitality Group directly, possibly through email or direct mail submission.
