Group benefits

Please ensure you have the correct Manulife Vitality for Group Benefits app downloaded from the App Store or Google Play and follow the setup instructions for your program.

Please ensure you have successfully registered for Manulife Vitality and set up your device with Garmin Connect before linking your device.

Note: We recommend linking your device using the secure member website.

  1. Log in into your account and click Continue on the Manulife Vitality tile
  2. Click the Devices icon on the Manulife Vitality home page
  3. Click Link another device > I have a device > Garmin
  4. Log in to your Garmin Connect account
  5. Tap I consent
  6. Confirm you are linked by returning to the linked devices area on the home page. If you are linked you will see a green checkmark on the Garmin tile.

To sync your activity using your Garmin device, make sure that your device is linked to the Garmin Connect app and that you have linked your Garmin to Manulife Vitality.

  • Track an activity using your Garmin device
  • Open the Garmin Connect app and sync your activity data. This data should automatically flow to Manulife Vitality and appear in your points statement in your Manulife Vitality Mobile app (Tap Points at the bottom of the home screen)

  1. Log in to your Manulife Vitality for Group Benefits mobile app
  2. Tap the Profile icon on the bottom of the screen (Android users can tap the Menu icon on the top left of the screen)
  3. Tap Manage Devices and Apps > Garmin > Link Now
  4. Log in to your Garmin Connect account
  5. Tap Accept and agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. Confirm you are linked by returning to the devices and apps page. If you are connected, you will see Garmin listed under Linked

Any Garmin devices that are compatible with Garmin Connect are compatible with Manulife Vitality. To find the most recent list of devices, please visit Garmin Connect.

Garmin SwimTM is specifically designed to measure your detailed swim metrics: distance, pace, stroke count, stroke type, etc. These devices connect the same way a Garmin heart rate monitor or a GPS watch does. When you burn 100 to 199 calories in a single training session, we’ll award you Vitality PointsTM for a Light Workout. Burn 200 to 299 calories and qualify for Vitality PointsTM for a Standard Workout. When you burn 300 or more calories, we’ll award you Vitality Points for an Advanced Workout. All calories must be burned in the same session.

No, you can only link one Garmin account to Manulife Vitality.

To delink your Garmin account, please follow these steps:

  1. Login to your Garmin Connect account
  2. Click on Profile
  3. Click on Account Settings
  4. Click on Account Information
  5. Select “Disconnect” under the Applications field for Vitality app
