Group Benefits

Please ensure you have the correct Manulife Vitality for Group Benefits app downloaded from the App Store or Google Play and follow the setup instructions for your program.

Please ensure you have successfully registered for Manulife Vitality and set up your device using the Fitbit app.

Note: We recommend linking your device using the secure member website.

  1. Log in to account and click Continue on the Manulife Vitality tile
  2. Click the Devices icon on the Manulife Vitality home page
  3. Click Link another device > I have a device > Fitbit
  4. Log in to your Fitbit account
  5. Tap I consent
  6. Confirm you are linked by returning to the linked devices area on the home page. If you are linked you will see a green checkmark on the Fitbit tile.

Syncing activity with your Fitbit device

To sync your activity using your Fitbit device, make sure that your device is linked to the Fitbit app and that you have linked your Fitbit to Manulife Vitality.

  1. Track an activity using your Fitbit device
  2. Open the Fitbit app and sync your activity data. This data should automatically flow to Vitality and appear in your Points Statement in your Manulife Vitality Mobile app (Tap Points at the bottom of the home screen)

Note: It can take up to 48 hours to see your points in your Points Statement. Learn more about how points work.

Please ensure you have signed up for Manulife Vitality for Group Benefits and have set up your device using the Fitbit app.

  1. Log in to your Manulife Vitality for Group Benefits mobile app
  2. Tap the Profile icon on the bottom of the screen (Android users can tap the Menu icon on the top left of the screen)
  3. Tap Manage Devices and Apps > Fitbit > Link Now
  4. Log in to your Fitbit account.
  5. Tap Accept and agree to the terms and conditions.
  6. Confirm you are linked by returning to the devices and apps page. If you are connected, you will see Fitbit listed under Linked

Syncing activity with your Fitbit device

To sync your activity using your Fitbit device, make sure that your device is linked to your Fitbit app and that you have linked your Fitbit to Manulife Vitality for Group Benefits.

  1. Log in to your Manulife Vitality for Group Benefits mobile app
  2. Tap Profile (Android users can tap the Menu icon on the top left of the screen) > Manage devices and apps
  3. Under Linked, tap Fitbit > Sync now

Your Fitbit account is still linked to Manulife Vitality. All you have to do is link your new device to your existing Fitbit account. If you require additional assistance, visit Fitbit support.

Yes, you can earn points for heart rate workouts with Fitbit.  If you are not receiving points currently, you may need to delink, then relink your Fitbit from Manulife Vitality.

  1. To delink your device, login to your Manulife Vitality account. On the home screen, click Devices > Fitbit > Delink.
  2. To relink, on the home page, click Devices > Link a device > I have a device > Fitbit. Log into your Fitbit account and click “I consent”. Be sure to allow all activities to ensure your data will sync with Manulife Vitality.

You can delink your account by going to your Home Page and selecting Devices. Click on Manage in the Fitbit box and you will be taken to the next page where you can click the Delink button and immediately delink your accounts. You may link your Fitbit account to Manulife Vitality again at any time.

No, you can only link one Fitbit account to Manulife Vitality.

Yes, you can link any Fitbit device to your existing Fitbit account using the app.

Please make sure you are not recording workouts from two different sources; with a Fitbit and a Fitbit MobileTrack.

Please make sure that you are uploading your workouts to your Fitbit account. If workouts are uploading, try delinking and then linking your account again. Additionally, check to see if you have reached the physical activity category limit of 6,000 Vitality PointsTM in a program year.

Yes, you can track elliptical workouts with a Fitbit. Exercising at 60% or more of your maximum heart rate for 30-44 minutes will earn you a Standard workout.  Exercising at 60% or more of your maximum heart rate for 45+ minutes will earn you an Advanced workout.
