Healthcare Online: Akira becomes TELUS Health Virtual Care
Effective September 29th, our Healthcare Online provider will be changing their name from Akira to TELUS Health Virtual Care. They will also be enhancing the look & feel of their app to align with the TELUS Health brand and optimize the member experience.
Here’s what you need to know:
- Akira is becoming TELUS Health Virtual Care: The app members use to access Healthcare Online is changing name & branding to become TELUS Health Virtual Care. The app tiles for Apple and Android™ devices will be updated to reflect this new identity. Members will be automatically prompted to update their current app.
- Enhanced member interface: Registration and sign in screens will have a new look and feel aligned with the latest TELUS Health design standards - with other patient-facing touchpoints upgraded accordingly.
- Nothing else changes for members: plan members get the same online, on-demand access to healthcare professionals who support primary care, mental health, and other wellness needs. Their basic user experience and user flows will remain the same. There is no need to download a new app.
