While the contract remains in force, you may be able to access part of your policy’s cash value by either withdrawing it or taking a loan against it. You can use this money for any purpose – for retirement income, to help with your child’s education costs, and so on.*
If your circumstances change and you need to stop paying premiums for a short period of time, you may be able to use your policy’s cash value to cover your premium payments.
Keep in mind that accessing your cash value will decrease your total insurance coverage and affect any guarantees that are part of your policy.
* Loans are usually tax exempt but withdrawals may create an income tax liability.
