Previous studies informed us on participation statistics. This time we looked deeper. What motivates Canadians to give back? What do they want to get from the experience? What specific talents or skills can they offer to the community? By answering these questions, we hope to better understand how to inspire future volunteers and help Canada’s volunteering community grow its potential.

The result is Bridging the Gap – a landmark research report that provides the most current and in-depth information on the changing nature of Canada’s volunteers with a focus on youth, families, employer-supported volunteers and boomers.

We’re using the findings from our research to develop new resources and strategies that will not only inspire volunteers of the future but will also help the sector answer the needs of volunteers today.
