My mom taught me my greatest life lesson: to be perseverant. She endured 6 years of treatments before dying from cancer and never stopped fighting. Her lesson and guidance allowed me to graduate as Valedictorian in high school, Valedictorian at McMaster University and begin a PhD in Cancer Nanomedicine.
